Wates Group Visits Protec’s ClosedLoop Recycling Facility

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the team from Wates Group to our production and recycling facility in Sheffield. Their visit was a great opportunity to showcase our ClosedLoop Remanufacturing Scheme.

A huge thank you to Lewis Hough, Ella Heathcote, Heath Mansell, Rasheed Lawal, Josh Steiner, Brad Heaps, Bekir Andrews, and Laura Tunningley for taking the time to visit and learn more about what sets Protec apart.

Our innovative ClosedLoop Remanufacturing Scheme and unique approach to temporary protection materials. Importantly, it can support Wates’ projects and sustainability objectives. By seeing our processes firsthand, the team gained a deeper understanding of how we go beyond traditional protection distributors—delivering solutions that not only safeguard sites but also help reduce environmental impact.

We also toured our state-of-the-art warehouse and ProsignRE signage production facility. Here is where we produce sustainable signage from recycled materials.

As a result, companies like Wates can integrate our ClosedLoop Remanufacturing Scheme into major construction projects. This helps to not only reduce landfill contributions and but also improves ESG performance.

It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our partnership with Wates Group, and we look forward to working together to drive sustainability across the construction industry.

We’re proud to part of a greener construction industry. Visits like this can help us bring strong partnerships and help companies work towards their sustainability goals.

Check out how we are leading environmental sustainability here.
