Protec Awarded King’s Award for Enterprise 2026 in Sustainable Development

We are delighted to announce that Protec has been awarded a King’s Award for Enterprise 2026 in the Sustainable Development category, following approval by His Majesty The King.

This prestigious accolade is the highest official recognition for UK businesses and is globally regarded as a mark of excellence. It celebrates organisations that demonstrate outstanding innovation, strong commercial performance and a clear commitment to sustainable practices. This year also marks a significant milestone for the awards, as they celebrate 60 years since the first honours were conferred in 1966.

Receiving this award is a significant achievement for Protec and reflects our long-standing commitment to sustainability and responsible manufacturing. We have consistently invested in developing innovative protection solutions that not only perform to the highest standards but also reduce environmental impact across the construction and marine sectors.

A key part of this approach is our ClosedLoop remanufacturing scheme – the UK’s only system of its kind for temporary protection and site signage. This initiative enables used materials to be recovered, remanufactured and returned to market, significantly reducing waste and supporting a circular economy. To date we have recycled over 8,000,000kgs of waste that would have otherwise been sent to landfill.

Our focus on sustainability goes hand in hand with our commitment to quality, service and innovation. By working closely with our customers, we help deliver practical, compliant and environmentally responsible solutions on projects of all sizes.

This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the trust and collaboration of our customers and partners. It strengthens our position as a market leader in sustainable temporary protection and reinforces our ambition to continue driving positive change across the industry.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to building on this success, further developing our sustainable product range and supporting our customers in meeting their own environmental goals.

“Winning a King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development is a very proud moment.

It recognises the consistent work we have done to put sustainability at the centre of our business, from product innovation through to our ClosedLoop remanufacturing scheme. This is not a one off achievement, it reflects a long-term commitment to reducing environmental impact while delivering high quality solutions our customers can rely on.”
