Save Time and Money on Window Repairs and Remedial Work

How to save time and money on commercial project window repairs and remedial work

On-site damage to windows, frames, and glass facades can lead to costly repairs, cleaning, or even full replacements—delaying projects and impacting budgets. Protecting glazing from day one is the smart way to avoid these unnecessary costs.

PeelGard OneCoat is an easy-to-apply, cost-effective protective coating for glass surfaces. Applied by roller or spray, it dries to form a tough barrier that lasts up to 12 months.

And it works. One of our customers, a luxury apartment developer, saved £30,000 in window and frame repair costs simply by using PeelGard OneCoat across all their projects.

Protecting Your Glazing with PeelGard OneCoat

PeelGard OneCoat is designed for ease—no specialist equipment is needed. When the project is complete, simply peel it off and dispose of it.

To ensure suitability for your specific frames and glass coatings, we recommend speaking to our team. For large-scale applications, we can arrange an on-site demonstration. Contact us at 0800 834 704 or 01625 855 600, or email sales@protection.co.uk.

How to Apply PeelGard OneCoat

  1. Prepare the area
    • Use low-tack tape to mask off locks, handles, and vents.
    • Mask around the window using PeelGard Tape and Proplex Protection Board to prevent overspray.
    • Protect the sill with Protec’s Sill Protector Packs, trimmed to size and secured with low-tack tape.
  2. Test before applying
    • Apply PeelGard OneCoat to a small area to check compatibility.
    • Allow 48 hours for drying, then confirm it peels away cleanly.
  3. Apply the coating
    • Use an airless spray system or lambswool roller—both work equally well.
    • Apply horizontally and vertically to ensure full coverage.
    • Check the thickness using a wet film gauge—reapply if necessary.
  4. Leave to protect
    • Once dry, your glazing is protected for up to 12 months.
  5. Easy removal
    • Simply peel off by hand when the project is complete. The removed coating compacts into a small ball and can be disposed of as domestic waste.
