BACKGROUND
External doors are highly susceptible to damage during construction. Impact damage resulting in scratches and dents can compromise both their appearance and functionality. Our product, DoorProtec offers a durable, reusable, and easy-to-fit solution that ensures doors remain in pristine condition and fully functional throughout the building process.
THE CHALLENGE
Housebuilders face ongoing challenges in protecting external doors from accidental damage and site debris. Conventional door sleeves offer basic protection but lack durability and are often single-use. Builders needed a robust, reusable, and functional solution that could keep doors fully operational whilst shielding them from damage.
Typical costs for external door damage can be up to £250 and implementing the necessary repairs can also cause delays in handovers.
THE SOLUTION
Protec developed DoorProtec as an innovative solution to these challenges. Featuring a padded, waterproof outer layer, these covers provide superior protection while allowing doors to function as normal. The elasticated and Velcro straps enable a secure and quick fit, making them highly practical for busy construction sites.
KEY BENEFITS
- Padded protection – Cushions doors against accidental impact and scratches.
- Waterproof – Shields against rain, mud, and other environmental factors.
- Reusable – Designed for repeated use from plot to plot, reducing waste and cost.
- Elasticated straps – Ensures a secure fit and quick installation.

Our DoorProtec protection are in use on house building developments across the country. They are also available fully branded on request.
“They’re terrific! They offer full protection to the glass panels on the doors and are easier for the carpenters to fit. The other door sleeves are fine for indoors, but, particularly on our site, we are quite exposed to the elements, and this is an all-rounder, as you can adjust the elastic to suit.”
