Procurement Operations Co-ordinator

The Procurement Operations Co-Ordinator is a key person for the procurement and supply chain department. In this role, you will be responsible for multi million pound spend, liaising with suppliers through all communication channels, whilst ensuring world class service levels. We’re seeking a proactive professional with exceptional numerical and communication skills to work with the Supply Chain Manager in a fast-paced department.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement

  • Managing stock levels across 86 Suppliers and our manufacturing plant based in Sheffield.
  • Own procurement execution across suppliers, managing stock levels, pricing, and demand alignment with customer demand and growth.
  • Looking after suppliers in UK, USA, Europe and Asia. Forging strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Highlighting any potential stock issues, updating the wider business and looking to resolve stock outages in a timely manner.

Logistics

  • Plan and coordinate inbound logistics with key providers, optimising container builds and delivery schedules to support production and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate freight bookings with multiple forwarders. Understanding correct incoterms, commodity codes and gain correct paperwork to avoid container hold ups and fines.

Scheduling & Planning

  • Working with our manufacturing plant in Sheffield scheduling production campaigns in a cost affective manner.
  • Working with the sales department to prioritise production for customer’s needs.
  • Communicate future demand with external suppliers to maintain growing stock demand.

BOM & Systems Management

  • Create accurate Bills of Materials for new Proplex items for our manufacturing plant in Sheffield.
  • Working with the production team in Sheffield with routing of Proplex orders, ordering print plates and special packing requirements for international orders.
  • Maintain procurement data, ensuring attention to detail and system integrity across our product range.

Support the wider business

  • Support the Supply Chain Manager when needed on product specific ad hoc projects.
  • Communicate confidently across multiple departments in the business, sales, warehouse team, customer services.
  • Work with the finance team with PO invoice accuracy and queries.

 Key Skills and Qualities: 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solution-orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving priorities.
  • Strong Numerical and forecasting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex data and multiple suppliers.
  • Understanding of manufacturing production and scheduling advantageous
  • A proactive team-orientated approach, mindset with ownership mentality
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and eager to learn.
  • Experience of ERP Systems, Business Central advantageous
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Be able to multitask and work to a consistently high standard through a varied workload.

Compensation

  • Salary commensurate with experience plus bonus package and benefits
