This Halloween, one of our customers took creativity to a whole new level with an incredible project inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s film Psycho.
Dave started building a 12-foot replica of the famous Norman Bates house in June this year – using mostly recycled materials and, our Proplex Protection sheets for the roof shingles. He will be finishing it just in time for Halloween!
The project first began a few years ago when Dave built a small Halloween house from old pallets to entertain his neighbours’ children. After moving and continuing his tradition of creating unique Halloween decorations each year, he decided it was time to go bigger.
Using locally sourced recycled timber, resin moulding techniques, and his own craftsmanship, Dave has created a strikingly detailed version of the Bates house – complete with hand-cut Proplex shingles for the roof.
We’re always thrilled to see our products being used in new and imaginative ways, and this one truly captures the spirit of creativity and sustainability.
Happy Halloween from all of us at Protec – and a big thank you to Dave for sharing this fantastic project!
